Desiree made all my dress dreams come true. Desiree is a skilled seamstress and designer who worked faster than anyone I’ve ever seen to create something beautiful and IMO complex for my wedding day, 10/10 would recommend.

I think something Desiree has that I had a hard time finding was someone who understood my vision to combine a traditional Chinese style cheongsam silhouette with a modern lace appliqué design. At the time it felt like a bit of a risk knowing that I was asking Desiree to create a style that culturally was going to be new for her, but I chose to trust her creative input and, in the end, was so grateful for her guidance and expertise.

We found Desiree at what felt like the last minute and showed her photos of what I was looking for. She sketched the most adorable mock up and we decided to give it a go. We only had 2.5 months until the wedding so I met with Desiree weekly for measurements and tweaks to the design and style. I’ve never had a garment custom made for me and honestly I had a hard time envisioning what the final product would look like throughout the process. At the last few fittings all the lace and embroidery were coming together and the dress was more fitted to my figure and I was speechless, absolutely floored at how amazing the dress she put together was. It was better than what I originally had in mind and, of course getting married to my husband was the best part of my wedding day, but also, it was the dress.

I ended up wearing an off the rack dress as well and Desiree worked hard to make it actually fit me well. We changed the design of the sleeves, something that a seamstress my family has been going to for years told me was “impossible” because of the type of satin it was. Desiree pulled it off no problem and I was thrilled. I went from a crisis with no dress to two beautiful gowns custom made for me. Knowing what I know now, I would have travelled across the country for her to make my dress. It's a little scary to commit your wedding dress budget to something you can't technically see or try on yet, and actually you won't see the finished product for a while, but she’s the absolute best. My only regret is that I don’t have the budget for Desiree to custom make an outfit for every life event I will have in the future.

I can’t recommend Desiree enough! I originally was looking for someone to refurbish my mom’s wedding dress into a rehearsal dinner dress, but then ended up going to her for everything from my wedding gown alterations, to a new veil, to my mom’s MOB gown! Every project we approached her about was taken on happily and was done perfectly in no time! Every new bride I talk to I send her way so I highly recommend her for any and all wedding needs! I cannot thank Desiree enough for making me look freaking fabulous on my wedding day! I originally found a black dress from Brandon Maxwell, but unfortunately the design never made it to production and it was very difficult to find a black wedding dress in stores and online. After searching frantically via Yelp and Google, I found Desiree Marie Design when she was still located in Austin. We chatted via email and she was so on point that before I sent her the specs for the dress, she already knew exactly what the material was. I knew then that she was gifted. During our initial meeting, Desiree took all of my measurements as well as offered a few suggestions on switching up the style and the end result was drop dead perfect! I have received a million compliments on my dress and I will always be grateful that we had a chance to meet before she left Austin.

Desiree is amazing!! We had my daughters wedding dress altered and had a special request to change out the belt. She was patient and listened to exactly what we wanted. She also altered a bridesmaid dress for us too. I will definitely bring all my alteration needs to Desiree.

Make this the FIRST place to go to if your looking for a custom dress / veil etc. Desireé worked with my budget without pushing or judgement what so ever to make a custom veil for me. I am so thankful, serious! Thank you Desireé. The entire experience of you working with me on such a short notice ( within 24 hours ) and the time you spent to make sure it was exactly what I wanted gave me peace that I made the right decision. This is a business I’m so so happy to support. Please support businesses that work for the people like Desireé’s especially during a time like this that’s harder on small business ! Desiree Marie is a wonderful person. She is lighthearted and kind. She puts the client first, and makes sure the client is involved every step of the way. She's making my wedding dress for me and has done a wonderful job so far. She even has a handmade welcoming gift! A whole box of goodies! I don't know of any company that adds such a personal touch. Once my dress is completed I will give an update, but this is quite a positive experience!

Desiree made the most amazing Wonder Woman costume for me. I am short and nothing off the rack fits the way it’s made to. Not only was it made sized to my needs it was unique and included a beautiful corset in the back. She has quality handmade items and makes all your dreams come true wedding or else wise.

I don't know where to begin with how amazing I am with Desiree's skills. I am what everyone calls a "last minute bride" and I ordered my dress about 2 months before my wedding from a bridal boutique in California. .. I know that sounds crazy and I made sure to order a few sizes up so that I could get it altered. I inquired with Desiree in a panic to see if she could alter my dress in a short time span because I ordered almost 3 sizes bigger than I was supposed to order (don't ask, I don't now what I was thinking)... Desiree was very accommodating and looked at my dress and told me exactly what she needed to do to bring the dress down to fit me. I went to see Desiree for my first official fitting and then my final fitting a week later. On each fitting, she made sure to explain everything she has done to my dress as well as made sure I was happy with the work she has done. She has done wonders! My dress doesn't even look like it got touched and fits perfectly on me. I'm getting married in less than a month and Desiree helped relieve the stress of my last minute decision of getting a wedding dress of my dreams. I can't wait to wear my dress and share pictures with her to showcase her beautiful seams!I highly recommend getting your dress altered from Desiree. She's not only understanding with bride situations but I can tell how much passion she has for wedding dresses and the wedding industry. I could not be any happier with the outcome of her work. Desiree is the very best without a doubt in my mind!! She took my vision and requests and turned them into my dream wedding dress! !!! She also made all of my groomsmen's, the groom's, and the officiant's vests and did an absolutely beautiful job!! Desiree did an amazing job crafting a custom gown for me that was very reasonably within my budget. She took the time to listen and really make sure that she understood all of the details that I was asking for, then pulled them all off without a hitch. I loved my gown, it fit perfectly, and I got lots of compliments from our guests on how beautiful and intricate it was. It was also very comfortable and easy to move in, which was important to me for dancing purposes. I would highly recommend Desiree Marie Designs for a wedding or any custom piece - you will not be disappointed!

Desiree made a stunning jumpsuit for my wedding day. It is lovely. I was also fortunate to take a dress making class with her. She was right beside me to direct as I made my pattern, cut and sewed the fabric. I LOVE my dress! I will take every opportunity I can in the future to work with Desiree again.
